Majority of security cameras have 2
output attached to back of cameras. 1 for video output "BNC
female" and the other is power DC female. You
must always give security cameras video & power
enable to get your surveillance to work properly.
We recommend with complete surveillance system installation to your
business or homes, use the Coaxial
siamese RG cable Sku#ECAB-1000VP. It has video & power twisted
together in one cable but will split video & power when you cut
the cable.
Step 1. Make sure you have a wall driller and cable cutting tool.
Step 2. Connecting video cable to BNC
Male-Twist-On Connectors.
Cut the cable, find the video line. Twist bnc-male-twist to each end
of cable. Do not cut the other end of video cable unless you know the
distant length between each camera to recording/monitoring device.
Please look at diagram below.
Step 3. As for power connection. We recommend
you use DC
female pigtails on one end of cable(power connections)
and other end use DC
male pigtails. Follow color wire schemes and twist-in
correctly. So after you finish twisting & clamping
the correct power line cable to dc pigtails. Then plug
female pigtail to your camera and plug male pigtail
to your recorder/monitor.
